Our Team
Our Board of Trustees are volunteers who are connected with the music therapy profession in Scotland.
Our Annual General Meeting takes place every year in January or February.
Anyone is welcome to attend to find out more about the way we work and how to become a trustee.
Stella Hadjineophytou
Stella qualified as a music therapist in 2021 and has since been working for Nordoff and Robbins in Glasgow, Scotland. She currently specialises in facilitating music therapy with learning disabled children and adults and is committed to fostering an anti-oppressive and socially-engaged practice.
Stella is currently a doctoral researcher at Nordoff and Robbins/Goldsmiths, University of London and has published and presented work which explores the application of critical disability perspectives and the significance of social justice frameworks within the context of music therapy practice. Stella is also on the Editorial Board for the journal Music and Arts in Action.

Calum Frame
Calum qualified as a music therapist from Queen Margaret University in 2023. He joined the Scottish Music Therapy Trust when he was a student. He currently works in both additional support needs education and palliative care, specifically in a hospice setting.

Hannah Quigley
Hannah completed her MSc in Music Therapy at Queen Margaret University in 2023 and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She has experience working with both children and adults across a range of settings, including schools, hospitals, and mental health services.
Hannah is passionate about helping people communicate and connect through music in ways that go beyond words, and enjoys exploring creative approaches to musical engagement. She is committed to creating therapeutic spaces that are accessible and responsive to a wide range of communication needs. Her practice often incorporates Makaton, and her published research explores the therapeutic and social impact of participating in Makaton choirs.

Maria Raptopoulou
Maria is a music therapist, qualified in 2024 from Queen Margaret University, based in Edinburgh. She completed a bachelor’s degree in music at the University of Edinburgh where she gained experience in delivering accessible music workshops for children in a primary school and alongside her studies, gained experiences facilitating music sessions at the Grassmarket Community Project and the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. During her music therapy training, she gained experience working with older adults and adolescents with a range of emotional, social, and mental health needs in a hospital and secondary school setting.
She currently works as a piano teacher and freelance music therapist, where her aim is to continue working with individuals to support them in expressing themselves and explore ways of engaging creatively and interacting meaningfully with music.

Cameron Faulds
Trustee: Communications
Cameron is a music therapist, educator, and performer based in Glasgow. He completed his undergraduate degree in Popular Music at Edinburgh Napier University, followed by a Master of Music Therapy (Music, Health and Society), qualifying through the Nordoff and Robbins training programme.
Cameron has delivered music therapy across a variety of settings, including work with individuals recovering from brain injury and people experiencing crisis or substance misuse challenges. These experiences sparked a particular interest in reaching those who may struggle to access therapy through traditional routes.
Cameron is passionate about music’s ability to be a catalyst for social change. He believes strongly in its power to connect, support, and inspire — an ethos that underpins every session he delivers.
Anne Wiley
Trustee
Anne is a music therapist and recently graduated from Queen Margaret University in 2025 and is a trombone player. She has experience supporting siblings of children with cancer as well as adults with epilepsy in music therapy.
Anne is passionate about person-centred and improvisational approaches and strives to introduce music therapy into new and innovative spaces.
Laura Anderson
Trustee: Finance
Laura works as a freelance music therapist with Forth Music Therapy. She is currently completing advanced clinical training in Vocal Psychotherapy, a model that integrates the breath, natural sounds, vocal improvisation, songs and dialogue within a client therapist relationship. Originally from Canada, Laura enjoys the Scottish outdoors, whether it's in her wild garden or hiking across one of the many stunning Celtic landscapes, either by the sea or through the hills, she's enchanted!
Tatiana Rodionova
Trustee
Tatiana qualified as a music therapist in 2023 and currently works privately in Edinburgh. She has experience supporting children and adolescents with mental health struggles, adults with learning disabilities, and older people with dementia.
Before music therapy, Tatiana worked for almost ten years as a lecturer in finance at the University of Edinburgh and it was numerous conversations with students struggling to cope with individual challenges that stirred her interest in becoming a therapist.
Her passion is learning about neurodiversity and supporting young people in finding and advocating for their own ways of learning, coping emotionally and thriving.
